Philosophy 

The philosophy of the Kachina Morgan Ranch Family is driven by the very attributes of the Morgan Horse.  The versatility of this breed is a matter of fact stemming from the horse named ‘Figure’ which later became known as ‘the Justin Morgan Horse’. 

Morgans can indeed do it all, from trail riding to jumping to dressage competition to pulling a carriage.  But the key attribute of the Morgan in our minds is the temperament of this noble horse.  They become your partner in life not just a possession.  If the horse is handled properly at birth, this attribute will certainly display itself.  It is our goal at Kachina Morgan Ranch to nurture this characteristic and provide a ‘partner’ to the new owner that is ready to become a part of your family and develop into a quality performer for you.  We commit that the commonly referred to ‘imprinting process’ will take place with each of our horses, the young horse will be handled from birth to the day that he or she leaves us.  All of our yearlings are halter broke, will load into a horse trailer, and will possess the proper manners commensurate with the Morgan Breed.  They will be ready to take on the training and challenges that you as the new owner will decide upon. 

Kachina Morgan Ranch strives to enhance the various Morgan bloodlines with a certain emphasis on color.  Breeding is certainly important and that is why we pride ourselves on a diverse breeding stock.   

In summary, we are a small operation and we think that this is important to you, the potential horse owner.  Each horse is important to us; each horse becomes a part of our extended family.  After all, that partnership between a horse and owner starts with us.
